College Admissions begin right after a gap of few months time from finishing of high school education. And the intervening days are filled with excitement and full of anxiety, students seem to bustle with the thought of going to a new place of study. Internet, information brochures, journals and visit to some expert academic counselors keeps students and their parents busy. Students try to figure out from every relevant source whether they stand a chance to study in their favorite college they had dreamt for so long. University Admissions is no different, but one would find stiff competition in this league. The list of good universities seems to be endless these days. At least the catchy advertisements would want the students to believe so. The college tuition has become very controversial as the colleges and universities charges very hefty sum under this aspect. The private education institutions had begun it and now almost all colleges and universities are following suit. This has some serious effects on the students who hail from poor economic background. Students whose parents have low savings find it quite a daunting task to make college expenses available to their wards. And the sorry state of affairs in this matter is that the tuition fee is soaring with every year. Though there is provision for assistances to deserving students under financial aid schemes and scholarships, yet people from all quarters see hike in tuition fee as unacceptable for some valid reasons.
